Bagel Run 2024 - 8.5''X11''
Zine Description: Bagel Run
This zine documents a single Bagel Run from start to finish, capturing the atmosphere of one night stretching into the early hours of the morning. Shot on a mix of 35mm film and digital, it follows the journey, the people, and the cars as the night unfolded naturally.
The evening began at South Mimms Services, where drivers gathered between 8 and 10 pm, engines ticking as conversations started and the convoy slowly formed. From there, the run moved into central London, ending on the streets of Brick Lane, where the night carried on until around 2 am, lit by streetlights, shop fronts, and the glow of the city after dark.
Rather than covering a whole season or multiple events, this zine is focused entirely on that one shared experience.
Product Composition
Sized at 216 × 280 mm (portrait), this 40-page zine is perfect bound (PUR) for a clean, durable finish. The interior is printed in full colour on 150gsm silk stock, balancing crisp detail with a smooth, tactile feel that suits both analogue grain and digital sharpness.
The cover is printed in full colour on 300gsm silk and finished with soft-touch lamination on the outside, giving it a premium, velvety texture that contrasts with the raw, documentary nature of the images inside.
The layout is image-led and intentionally minimal, allowing the atmosphere and moments to speak for themselves.
Creation Process
All photographs were taken during the Bagel Run 2024, documenting the night's progression from motorway services to inner-city streets. 35mm film cameras worked alongside digital capture to preserve both mood and motion, from parked moments and small conversations to the movement and energy of London.
The focus is on the in-between details as much as the cars, people, and reflections; it’s truly about friends gathered under streetlights, and the gradual shift in atmosphere as the evening turned into night.
Ways to Enjoy
Display it on a coffee table, share it with friends, or keep it as part of your personal collection. This zine is created intentionally without written narrative, allowing you to form your own story from the images alone.
Each time you look through it, new details surface, small moments, expressions, and textures that make the night feel alive again.
This zine is a record of one evening, one convoy, and one version of the Bagel Run as it existed in that moment in time.
Available as a limited pre-order only. Once the window closes, this zine will not be reprinted.
